What tang is this ?

Hi. I have this tang. Don't know what tang is this. Can anyone help ID . What is the best way to keep it alive for a long long time ?

Bought lots of algea and plants for it.

it's a purple tang...was thinking of buying this, but not until i have finished cycling my tank... btw, how much did you get this for?

My purple tank eats almost anything and everything. However, best to provide a balance diet of vegetable & meat

Purple Tang (Red sea) is a very nice fish

55 is a reasonable price for it

oo nice to hear I am not con. I am eyeing a yellow tang too. But I heard if I have a tang in the 4ft tank, I cannot have another tang no matter the colour. Is that right ?

It all depend on the sizes of the fish and also how territorial/aggresive the original fish is.

Provide plenty of hiding space for the new fish.

It may or may not work.

thanks morgan. Saw quite a few yellow tangs around. Might wan to introduce one inside and hope they will be good friends. .

Maybe I buy one a little bigger then the purple tang. U think that will work ?

Currently I have purple and yellow in my tank.

Purple are aggressive so you have to watch when you put in the yellow.

where are the yellow tangs? i went to sealife and hongleong. all out of yellow. hongleong has big ones though. reborn has 3 with mutilitated fins.
