YHS
those black colored balls are kaldnes. normally they are white, but bashsea custom made their own into blue and black colored
SRC Member Martin Foo Posted August 11, 2015 SRC Member Share Posted August 11, 2015 Oic so i assume they serve the same purpose as the bio pallets.
YHS
from information i gathered, kaldnes media requires heavy oxygenated so it is more focus only aerobic bacteria. Sent from my SM-N910H using Tapatalk

Yes it look a little bit too low and you might have issue with water splashing on to the unit later on which could also damage the unit . Hanging it higher would have a better spread of light in your main tank as well. I did not use the orpek lighting before, so not sure about the spread of t he light but I hang my AI about 24" from water Quote 1000 Gallon Tank in the Hole http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/topic/120957-1000-gallon-3d-hole-in-the-wall/
