1. u must know the parmeter of your water in your tank. e.g. no2, no3, cal, ph, kh, temperature etcs

2. you lighting.. what type of lighting u r using.

3. how you change water and how u top up water. As this will affect the water parameter alot...

4. go read up on book. and knowing what type of corals/fish can be keep together.

5. what is your skimmer and is it enough or over killing

go check on viclite for cheap MH.. they sell the cheapest...

but be4 you have MH must start thinking of chiller...
