anemone died or dying?

Hi,

Can anyone enlighten me how do u know an anemone died or dying?

this is what i observed when my 1 footer anemone died.in order of events:-

1)base or foot of anemone bloated up

2)anemone looses its stickiness and fails to maintain proper foothold on base rock

3)tentacles of anemone starts to look lifeless and deflated

4)tentacles are all lifeless and mouth is gaping

5)anemone is dead......

try to remove them before they die...cuz it'll "melt" and cause a major tank crash.....

one of my anemone keeps hiding behind e live rocks...bundled up as a ball ( e tentacles all covered by e skin where it attact itself)...sometimes will still show its tentacles... is it dying soon?
