I so agree with this....I also just started...without first reading this forum....

 

BOY. If money is of no concern, I will redo it...with a sump.

Everything is good with a sump. Everything seems easier with a sump especially for a newcomer. Don't want a new reefer to give up. Lol

I think the biggest advantage of having a sump is that you can put in the best skimmer you can afford with the allowance sump space.
Skimmer is a make or break set up in marine tank.
