Kenpoh1981
Don go adding anything into yr tank until its all cycled... U wan to stay long in this hobby... U got to be patience... By adding livestock or corals only beautified yr tank for that short moment n when they die some corals emit poison... So pls be patience... Let the cycled finish which is ard 1mth then u add yr fishes... I cycled my tank for ard 1mth then I add in fishes first to test water... Only after ard 1-2weeks later no fishes die of then I add in softies n lastly lps... Also do check yr po4 n pls keep yr no3 below 10 if u wan a healthy tankSent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
SRC Member Jeebusai Posted March 31, 2018 Author SRC Member Share Posted March 31, 2018 Some updates and pics. Going to be a summary so as not to bore all of U. Test readings for the past 2 weeks has been pretty stable. Salinity 1.025 Ammonia 0 Nitrate <25ppm PH 8.5 One pecular clown fish died. It’s was apparently dragged into the small hole by something with long and hairy bristles. After which I took out all my live rocks and Changed to Carib (fake rocks). While they are being bleached by a aquarium shop for a fee. After I changed, the skimmer keep overflowing. Had to open the cover. Now it’s back to normal. Its just a few weeks but so much happened. So far, already did 4 water changes in a matter of 2 weeks. Now the tank has : 1. Fire red shrimp (molted once) 2. Cleaner shrimp (good worker. Took out a long white work from my clarkii clown and cleaned him a few times. The clown enjoyed it so much) 3. Clarkii clown (can’t stop eating and snatches all the food) 4. Black saddle clown 5. Turbo snail 6. Mini frag of GSP 7. Goniopora Some questions for the seniors here : 1. My clarkii clown keep disturbing (lying on top) the Goniopora. To the extent that it’s always closed. It’s always sitting on it. Is it ok? 2. Any hardy soft coral or lps for the clarkii instead? Afraid the coral become too stressed out. Thanks!
