SRC Member Indeco Posted August 29, 2018 SRC Member Share Posted August 29, 2018 I'm using a 4 stages DI filter to get my TDS 0 water and today I did a test and found nitrite content inside. Is this normal because I never use RO membrane? Any bros can advise how to remove nitrite without using RO membrane? My filter stages Stage 1 = 1ppm micro filter Stage 2 = CTO carbon block Stage 3 = DI resin Stage 4 = DI resin
sherman
Your water source I believe should be tap water. Tap water has nitrite? Can it be wrong reading? Sometimes my tds meter also kuku. Rinse and dry gently Let’s narrow down and trace the source slowly. Lol

Sometimes I wonder why get the 4 stage when 3 gives 0 TDS too. So heavy and bulky....

Thanks:)Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app Yap, I use NTUC pure distilled water for WC and daily top up before I get the 4 stages DI filter. Quite costly I cannot sustain for long. Haha...With the filters then I use tap water as the source.

Really depends on the resin and filter. Not very eco friendly leh!
