Brown acro with pink tip

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Any idea what species of Acro this is? It's brown with slightly pink tips, and under actinics the polyps near the top glow green.

Also, after I converted to the Sakis, this piece started becoming "shaggier", i.e. more polyp extension. Should there be any cause of concern?

Thanks!

Hong Yee

If you can get a clear picture with the polyps out of the way so that the corallites are visible I can probably identify it down to a few species for you.

Ah, I know! I'll snip off a branch, dry it and see the skeletal structure. OK, ok, I'm just joking - I've got to be MAD to do that.

Thanks so much, Tanzy - I'll try to get a pic of them, but even at night 3-4 hrs after lights-out some polyps will still be visible.
