red stuff on live rock

a picture will help a lot ... but red stuff ar ... if there are bubbles on the red stuff it will be cyanobacteria which will be quite troublesome lo...

If it isn't too bad, no need to use red slime removal. Its effective, but i personally dun like the idea of nuking the tank even though it states it's safe. you can try the following:

1. Reduce photoperiod

2. Introduce rowaphos/contraphos/biophos 2

3. Reduce feeding

4. Regular (eg. weekly) water changes

5. Intro some cleaner crew to directly/indirectly help the problem

You should see results in a couple of weeks... ;)

Some have suggested using RO/DI so that undesirable material in the water such as phosphat can be removed. I saw some places in Malaysia having water kiosk using RO system and with addition of energy water ... can this type of water safe for fish and coral guys. Sorry to add another question here heheh
