Any power head to recommend?

Looking for a power head for my 1.5ft tank..... my present one is too power and too noisy! cos I am using grade 0 sand and the PH just keep stirring up the sand....

Anyone can recommend a low end model that is powerful enough and is very quiet while in operation? cos the tank is just beside my bed

u may want to try eden ? i an using it ,quiet but the model, i think u must get the lowest model..

Try SICCE NOVA (800L/hr) or MICRA (400L/hr) both model cost around $20+

I'm using the NOVA for my 2ft tank now and so far didn't notice any sound come from it.

try maxi-jet 400 flow rate 400l/h, $30something-$40+, quite good, no noise

cost only $8 from Darwin Aquarium at Bedok Avenue 4.

try ehiem....they have those small pumps...300L i think...can adjust the flow to lower rate....

I think the Maxi jet 1200l/h is pretty good plus its alot smaller then alot of PH out there but it costs quite abit. I think it also doesn't generate as much heat compared to other PH of that power in the market.

Re-Position ur powerhead to the top & aim the discharge to the front glass deflecting the flow will help to prevent sand storm. Cost = $0
