I use it to create a plenum in my main tank. Normally, ppl use egg crate with pvc pipe. I felt that this solid black plastic divider can withstand the weight of the LR in the long run and it also provide better water flow. Of course, it need mesh/net to cover on top of it to prevent the sand drop into it.
