tanyizheng
Hi guys,So I just got a pair of clownfish in 3 days ago. But one of them got it's lips pretty swollen yesterday. Not sure why. Not much else in the tank other than dry rock, a foxface rabbit fish and some CUC. No corals in yet so no chance that it was caused by corals/anemones Should I be worried and can someone help ID the issue? SRC Member DottyClown Posted August 24, 2023 SRC Member Share Posted August 24, 2023 Could be a variety of reasons, cannot tell for sure. Could be Bacteria infection, cut/abrasion when pushing rocks, bitten by bristleworm, stung by foxgface, etc. Is it still active and feeding? If it is, can just continue to monitor. If too worried and it’s easy to catch, maybe put it through some medical dip, but you don’t know what type because dunno what’s the cause and then you stress it unnecessary. Think you monitor first.
