Tang keep Rubbing on sandbed and LR

Hi

Can anyone help to identify why my 2 Tangs keep rubbing on sandbed and LR? I notice 1 of the tang size is getting thinner and shrinking and the other half of the body is darker in color ( only 1 side of the body ). But other fishes is normal. Btw I've just bought these 2 Tangs only less than 1-2 weeks ago. What could be the disease? Hope someone can help. Thanks

tangs will do that when they get irritated by parasites on their skin...

usually, ich will surface....

ich can arise from stress in the process of transportation and arriving at a new environment... as long as u did not overstock ur tank, continue to maintain gd water parameters n feed gd food.... try not to stress them further in one way or another

Its ich. Like wat tyrobin said, u can soak the food with garlic.

sometimes if the ich is too terrible then you can feed like hell but the fish just get thinner and thinner, cos the ich takes out more than what the fish can take in.

The ich will spread and your whole tank will kanna.

Damn the itch, my poor regal tang is full of them until i tot it is a white tang.

No one can provide a best solution to kill them. so sad...

Take it out and use hyposalinity or copper. Sure cure if the fish don't die.

it will be tough to tackle on this ich problem. IMO, smaller regal tang are harder to keep, cos it's too small to take on the battle with ich.

As long as they eat and the rest of the fish are healthy, your best chance is to let them fight the disease. My BT did that rubbing too for a while but now completely stopped. I did dose some vitamins in case there was a lack...

I dun know if you can get some Kent Marine Marine C Additive, it helps my fish a lot when they were going through the ich phase. I only need to dose for three days and feed some prepared food and the spots reduced quite significantly. Of course I did soak and add it and garlic extreme together with zoecon...kiasu...

Currently, my baby blue tang still fighting the ich but the spots has reduced considerably and the rest of my fish are not affected and that includes a great ich magnet, a boxfish...

For me.... i dun use any garlic or wadeva sort of medication... I just feed the fish as per normal and hopefully the fish immune system will fight off the ich..
