Bluestripe Pipefish

Anyway...bought my bluestripe immediately the day after I saw your post. Quite a small bugger. I wanted to buy 2...but at $10 each and the small size (2cm?)...I just got 1 to try out first. Guess all the bigger ones were snatched.

Anyway...spotted it in my tank swimming. It's dorsal fin had some kind of speck on it. Hopefully not whitespot. If not my yellow tang sure get white spot again...and not to mention my Jann's pipefish...Nooooooo... as for the rest of the fish in my tank...they are ich resistant.

Great you get one...Me too, brought only one but the bigest one in all the bag....ha ha ha.....Did you get the pipefish for a fresh water dip before you put it in your main tank? I do that now a day, just to be sure....guess you saw the other post on the Red SH, I got a pair......YA.......! which cost me another 100 gone in my pocket.....

Did'nt dare to do a freshwater dip considering the small minute size of my pipefish. Later it die $10 gone.... =x

It looks alright today. No signs of whitespot..*phew*

Anyway..how come this bluestripe pipefish is more bold compared to my other pipefish? It swims out in the open actively during the day. My other pipes are hiding in their caves avoiding the bright light.

hi,do you have a prob with yellow tang and pipefish? cos i heard pipefish cannot be with fishes that are fast eaters so i wanted to know if you are facing any problem,if not i want to get a pipefish too

i dun think u need to worry. coz the yellow tangs diet is totally different from the pipefishs diet.

Argh..my bluestrip pipefish....something happened to it. One of the eyes swell up and red in color...like sore eye like that. $10!! Noooooooo...hope it does'nt die.

My poor bluestripe pipe fish kana sting by aiptasia anemones when discover it too late........guess it may be able to put thro' tonight............

Sigh...okie...mine got to live with 1 eye. Sianz...need to find one more female Janns pipefish...I got 2 males n 1 female..... one male pair up with the female & the other male so lonely...
