Saravanan
Hi fellow reefers, I am currently using a eheim caninster filter for my 2ft tank. Where should the spray bar be placed ? 1. A few centimetres above the water level 2. Beneath the water surface. I have placed mine above the water surface. The problem is that water tend to splash onto my lights causing to built up salt on my lights. Pls advise your suggestions.

Saravanan
Will there be water aeration at the suface if i place the spray bar beneath the water surface?
SRC Member SpiderOne Posted August 26, 2003 SRC Member Share Posted August 26, 2003 ?? this is not a freshwater tank. my spraybar is modified for pure current . aeration comes from skimmer.
Saravanan
Oops...i what i meant was the current not aeration. Mine is a marine tank. Anyway, Thanks for your replies.
SRC Member SpiderOne Posted August 26, 2003 SRC Member Share Posted August 26, 2003 juz put it a little below the surface for some current without splashing. i cut lines into mine so the water is more flat out .
Luckychwee
it's simple, just tilt the outlet abit higher pointing at the water surface and tats yr current. i am doing so without any wave maker
