Yes you guys guess correctly ! my friend and i were at coral farm last fri morning and saw they buying quite a number of liverocks and talking to that young chap there. probably they have more or less copy the idea of same landscaping. i think they hv invested quite a substantial amount of $$$ in this tank just for lr from coral farm.

can anyone tell me what size then u consider as big ? i have one which is 3.5" and another one at 6". so should i feed them with phankton or light is enough ? thanks !

its between 3-13% but dun forget, the min will be 3% but will increase very rapidly. other than that, the min sum in cpf will be from 40k (present) up to 80k and then later to 120k in 2013 .... good luck to your hard earned money then

good idea ! i am currently using my bare hand to target feed since it's only 1.5ft deep and perhaps next time if upgrade to a 2.5ft high tank will come to use with these tubes.

The 6 ft tank in front actually house a red arowana which .... sigh ... having quite serious gill curl and still put on display for months. Let us just wait and see how long the 6ft tank can last !

The main difference i can see is that the clam in June is clean but the latter one u took is full of coralline algae and turn greenish. unless u really measure it when u bought it, for a growth of 10mm is not that prominent leh >??

Tks alot AT & d3vil. i was told by a friend that target feeding is the best. u mean u take out the clam from the tank every now & then and feed in a bowl ? I read from somewhere that it's recommended to have a certain level of nitrate for clam growth as well.

any idea how fast a clam can grow under mh light & weekly feeding of phankton ? is there anyway that can boast it's growth
