Hi Bros, I need help...

Juz bought a Teac Internal DVD-ROM and I think I must have accidentally threw away the OEM PowerDVD player that comes with it....

Now I can't play DVD-Rom with it....

Can anyone help?

Maybe can e-mail me or tell me which website is avail for free download?

Tried but not working.... got this error message...

"Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD because a problem occurred with digital copyright protection."

I think what I am lacking is the DVD decoder software....

Anyone has them? Pls pm me...

I think its because your DVD drive is region-coded, most likely region 3 while your DVD is of another region code.

There are some freeware available on the net to do it....

I have used Windows Media Player Ver.10 to play VOB files w/o any problem.

Did u install the DVD-ROM properly? Check the cables.

Can u try a music CD to play? Is there any sound?

cables are ok... audio cable connected...

audio CD ok.....

VCD ok....

DVD.... got video after installing region-free DVD coder..... but still no sound....

The region-free DVD decoder is a trial version that I downloaded.... could it be this reason?

Wat other DVD decoder software do u use?

do a search on Google, it's available on the net, abt 300Kb filesize

Did that.... got sound now.... but very soft.... and I turn up the volume on my PC and speaker..... also very soft...

Tried to work around the controls in AC3Filter menu... also no use... sigh...

do a search for klcodec230f and try installing this codec pack.... install as default except the BS player.. hope this helps.
