tube worm problem

my tube worm not come out about 1 week liao... any1 kno wat happen?

Maybe got fish disturb...

any copperbands around?

possible reasons:

1. wave too strong

2. picky fishes

3. other corals placed too close

4. lost crown, growing back stage

5. officially dead

the area i place(5 months) which is not much fish around! no copperband, wave is still the same, that is 2 leather coral place quite near (about 3-4 inch) distance. and i dun think it is dead, coz i still can see the worm inside.

Is the tube embedded inside the sand with just the crown expose? They feel most comfortable this way....

it is actually stick on my life rock, but i can see the tail is get into the sand and small rock at the bottom (quite long).

and i didnt found any crown. so losing crown should not include in this point liao, i think. am i rite?

if your current flows frmo the leather to the worm, then i believe its the leathers fault because the thing about leather corals is they secret toxins and i beleive that's what is poisoning your tubeworm

Had the same "problem" with my tubeworm once. I noticed that it starts to ejaculate when the temp reach a certain high, say 28 deg. My mom was so horrifed that she took it out and threw it away...*sigh*

After I told her that the sperm is harmless, we now chuckle when we see the 'white smoke'...so far only happen twice...

i can c the "hair" is out. (about 1-1.5cm)

and i oso can c alots of baby all around my tank. im not sure is this the baby from my tube worm. but it juz happen.......
