tube worm problem

Is the tube embedded inside the sand with just the crown expose? They feel most comfortable this way....

it is actually stick on my life rock, but i can see the tail is get into the sand and small rock at the bottom (quite long).

and i didnt found any crown. so losing crown should not include in this point liao, i think. :huh: am i rite?

Had the same "problem" with my tubeworm once. I noticed that it starts to ejaculate when the temp reach a certain high, say 28 deg. My mom was so horrifed that she took it out and threw it away...*sigh*

After I told her that the sperm is harmless, we now chuckle when we see the 'white smoke'...so far only happen twice...
