Wats wrong with my skimmer?

Hey hi guys,

Really hope someone can help me out here. My macro as 100 needlewheel skimmer is always failing on me. The worst thing in the morning is to wake up and hear that my tank lacks the "bubbling" noise and i know my skimmer died again Then i would take it out and give it a few hard knocks and flush the pump then it will run again. Very tiring leh, always doing it. Is there anything i can do to prevent it from getting stuck? Thanks a lot guys

hi bro ........hmmm maybe changing of the faulty powerhead/ pump with the LFS or changing a new one ?????

from wat i've learnt, the pump need to be lift up to perform better...try not to leave it on the sump base, elevate the pump to about half the sump water level...

Hey guys,

Thanks lots for the suggestions I have lifted it up from the base but there is still e problem Used to place it quite low and the pump kept getting clogged by sand and debris. Is there any way i can open up the pump to give it a good clean? i suspect there is a lot of sand n dirt in it dats why e needlewhell keeps getting stuck.
