Maroon Sweeping Sand non-stop

Hi!

Recently, after adding an anemone into my tank

and after it has hosted my maroon clown, my maroon

clown has been sweeping the sand non-stop.

It has never done that in the last 3 months since I got him.

It has been sweeping the sand for a week and now there''s

a "hole" as in can see the base of my tank already. (3 inches sand)

(sigh...)

Is he going mad????

Btw, my anemone is attached to a LR and not the sand.

hey! mine is doing the same too. fortunately my SB is deep . well me curious too . Anybody can "solve" dis mystery" but dut worry bro I thk so far no harm done though.

because of the very close inate relationship between clowns and anenomes the fish often finds food for the anenome. By dusting up the substrate particles become water borne and can be trapped by the anenome to eat, this may not be the reason yours is doing this just a possibility my solitary maroon does it for its anenome and when im feeding prawn to corals close by and i drop a piece the maroon will pick it up and dump it in the anenome just thoughts

i had a pair of false percula who do that too. they sweep the sand away all around thier anemone, sort of like wanting to make more space for thier anemone to spread out its body. But things look okay for the three of them so didn't bother.
