cheapest again. I would recommend getting advices from certified divers from where to learn. Prices isnt everything. It is the attention and amt of info that u can learn from the instructors. Some dive centres (DC) have instructor to student ratio, 1:8 and some 1:4... go figure, which one will get more attention span.

yes, u might say things like, as long as i learn basic skills enuff already. Personally, with lower ratio, u get to finish ur drills faster and perhaps can go thru it another 2-3 times until u are comfortable and u will be able to go for "swim" much faster and see more stuff.

Also, look in the package to know what u are getting from it.

are u being offered the following?

- how many dives for the trip, 4 or 5?

- Usually u are given a Dive log

- Are u given a Dive table?

- Are u given Dive manual or it is lend to u for ur course?

- does the package include the rental gear? Some DC dun include it in.

yes, u better seek a doc opinion. coz the entire gear setup aint light until u hit the water... most divers i know tends to bend forward to almost double... it can be quite a strain on ur back... some sites, u need to do beach entry, meaning that u have to wear ur gear and stroll into the beach before u managed to let the water cushion the weight of the gear.

seriously, u might want to consider asking the doc to check. Best is to get a diving doc. u might want to check out ww.finsonline.com and ask them. They will be able to refer u to some specialist to certify u fit/unfit for diving.

I had dislocated my left knee twice and had a slight miniscus tear and i went to check it out before diving. At the end of the day, it is ur call. Diving is all abt self-responsibility rather than depending on ur buddy for help. If u dun feel well, dun dive. Simple as that.
