T5 Lights

Hi guys,

Can I know why is there such a huge discrepancy in the pricing of T5 lights?

I was quoted $75 for 2 blue 2 white 2ft T5 lites for $75, comes with ballast.

When i chk with another shop, i was quoted $200, 2 tubes.

Both lites will come with the bracket to fix up the lites.

I understand that there are NO, HO and VHO for lites rite? So how do I cfm which is which when i'm buying one...

check out the wattage which is written on the side of the T5 tubes. And also the wattage of the ballast if u can see it.

I thought only NO and HO :?

Sorry ah... Maybe i read n understand wrong info... Was following this e-mail lesson thingy abt set up... Think its talking abt fluorescent tube. So it stated got NO, HO and VHO so i must have gotten it mixed up...

Anyway, do u haf any comments abt the huge diff in pricing? Is it cos one is NO andthe other is HO or could it be cos of brand?

sorry i only noe that for 3ft it is 39W and 4ft is 54W for HO

it can depend on whether it is HO or NO and also the brand of the tubes and ballast. Even the cap, whether it is waterproof will affect the pricing. But i would suggest DIY if u noe some wiring stuff.

Chked liao, it was 14W so its NO... The $200 set is HO, 24W... DIY means buying tubes, the holder and the balast?

Any idea where can I get them?
