advice on skimmer

fellow bros, much to my disappointment, alot of external factors prohibit me to keep building upon my 2ft tank. Therefore i'm here now, asking for advice on my 1.5ft. I wanna put in a skimmer but really not sure which one. personally listed a few options though.

1)either use a spare 2012 with an external pump

2)use a spare macro with an external pump but have to DIY needlewheel

3)use airstone skimmer

for option 1 & 2 considerations: i am scared that the outflow from the skimmer may be too strong for it coz my spare pumps are 3000 and 3500 lph pumps

for option 3 considerations: may take up too much space but one thing for sure if using airstone skimmer, i wanna get a good airpump(recommendations please?) , and whack at least two airstones for increased intensity. Also not sure if using a cheap AA skimmer will be enough.

i think prizm is out of the question coz behind my liberty takes up alot of space already.

broz can help me out with suggestions?

oh yeah...for the airpump, was wondering if anyone can recommend a powerful and yet rechargeable one...like for emergency cases where power gets cut off. thanx bros

i saw at this C328 and polyart have it, in fact a few brands up there. They will be bigger than your average air pump cos the built in battery

thank bro...any idea what specs to look for when looking at airpump? i know psi i one of them.
