Something happen to my frogspawn

as above:

the branch is like dissolved/corroded..

check the picture below circled in red. sorry kinda of blur taken using HP camera.

ph = 8.2 (prodac)

kh = 13 (prodac)

calcium = 400 (prodac)

no3 = 20ppm

change water 2months once The Bomb

wat maybe wrong with it?? how can i cure this or fix this??

dose strontium & iodine 1 week once Kalk 1 week 2~3times

Is it under direct light? Suspect improper acclimalising...........try placing it under shaded area.

Also make sure you dose only the clear portion of your kalk solution.

It's normal cause its dead. That's how corals grow they deposit calcium carbonate skeletons over the old skeleton and grow upwards, abandoning the old skeleton below. If you were to hack off the old skeleton, the coral will still survive as it does not depend on the old skeleton anymore.

Always something more important than fish.

er..its not dead..hehe..maybe tonite i will take the entire picture...rushing to work this morning tat why using HP camera..will post entire pic of the coral..

hi,

when it started to dissolve, did u see any brown jerry/slim stuffs releasing from the rotten branch?

if u did, most likely infected with brown jerry bacteria. best solution (that i known) is hack the whole branch & throw away b4 it infects other healthy branches.

same thing will happen on hammer.
