dead spot...how to eliminate it....

Hi there....the 2 corner of my tanks seems to have lots of unconsumed food and fishy waste trap there. There is lots of live rock which make it difficult to remove. I understand it has become dead spot and i m afraid it will cos nitrate buildup.

Any bro can teach me how to solve this problem?

Add two wavemakers at the corner of the tank to get rid of the dead spot. Will help to clear the debris.

add cleaner crews ... eg brittle star, snails, hermit crabs .. etc

Bro acid....where do i install the wave maker? My tank height 2.5 ft.

bro zephyros....it seems to be a a cost effective solution.

But i wandering how effective it will be. Will they eat up the waste?

you try Henry of ML, he has some very hardworking dwaft hermit and serpent/brittle stars.

on top of that you will still need to look at the flowinside your tank.

I would recommend using powerhead(s) to resolve poor flow.

Maybe can buy a sizing pump then make a 2 outlet pipe pointing the corners. Can look into SWCD, optional.

The device will resolve the problem at "mechanical" level, while critters at "biological" level, good to have them too.

The dead spot is at the corner of my overflow...the overflow is at center.

I using live rock to conceal this full side of the tank. As such i realise there is dead spot....

i wonder using pump how to reach the bottom of the tank...it is cover with live rock. I guess i must make all the waste come out....

i would build a rain bar to cover the bottom perimeter of the overflow and hook it to a ehiem compact 600/100. the ehiem can attach to the overflow

..bro...get a few sally lightfoot crab....they eat leftover food...especially pellets.....i got 2 inside my FOWLR...doing a good job...love them...
