Acidjazz,

you are RIGHT!! running two sets of single beckett skimmer is definitely better than one set of dual beckett. (if all the skimmers are of the same size).

However, not many pple have the space like Coral Farm. Most pple find a 4ft skimmer already an eyesore, needless to say about TWO 4ft skimmers.:lol:

Blueheaven,

beckett skimmers are one of the most reliable protein skimmers. but as you've mentioned, skimmer 10%, husbandry 90%.

All skimmers (deltec, h&s, beckett, blah blah blah), as powerful as they may seem, it is still very important that the user / reefer maintain good husbandry.

:thanks:

Hi, thanks for clarifying my doubts.

Initially i was thinking of upgrading my single-beckett to a dual beckett. Guess it will be best if i install another single beckett instead.

In addition, if one beckett fails to work, still got the other beckett to support.

this is a good effort done by robin..the acrylic welding also look pretty need & secure.

Hi all,

Actually PVC welding is not the most secure form of joints for acrylic. It is not actually recommended by welding companies. But we use it as a last round of defence. For our joints, there is more than just PVC welding, trade secret. :fear:

All Ocean Werx product comes with one year warranty. Just send in the warranty card and we will validate the warranty.

Bought a beckett from them too.

Works great, looks great. Now no fishes in tank still can skim out 'teh O'. B)

Not only that but if you split from a single pump, the pressure you want will be lost

Of course the cost of running 2 pumps would be much higher.... <_<

Running 2 becketts?

anyone thought of combining the powers of BECKETT and NEEDLEWHEEL

one can have high turnover and the other can skim throughly...

VOICE OUT YOUR VIEWS...

a simple BECKETT WITH RIO20f then a needlewheel...

then power consumption will be less than a DUAL BECKETT power by Mx100. But will it be efficient?

I am just an average FR (fish reefing) writer. If you like my FRs, please upz my points.

let me make a guess here, but i dun really know how to put them accross.

Beckett has high turn over. having a needle wheel isn't gonna make much different cos that column of water would have long existed from the skimmer before the needle wheel can treat the majority of it.

maybe it doesn't make sense...
