Hermit eats snail?

My hermit prays on my snails!!!!! I thought that my hermit can help me to clear the food on the sandbed and the snail, my glass.. but lately, i see my hermit climbing up the glass panel (its really high, using the silicon as a ladder) to reach my poor snails at the top of the tank! Then, i always use a stick and knock it down..what should i do? :cry:

IMO:

I believe you may soften up its aggresiveness by providing it more empty shells. Try get the about right size for it. If hard to judge, get it big shell then.

What kind of hermit crab is it? Got pic?

I dun have the pic..but its those got blue legs ones.. *sighz* i have lots of empty shells inside the tank already..
