garden eel

I just bought a garden eel last week.anyone has kept it before.My garden eel's coloure is yellow & white stripe. i know that there live in a colony so do i have to buy a few more.do u have any other tips ot keep them

feeding them is a major headache. they live on plankton! i have tried mysis and brine.. didn't work. very shy creature & sandbed must be thick!

Mine is not shy it come's out when the light come's on.It's in the front of the tank.how may did u have for how long.THANKS for the advice

I feed it on zoo plankton! target feed... hmmm maybe my eel was "shyer" always hid into his burrow when fishs swiming above him

anyway he lived for 4 months b4 a freak incident killed him......

but...

1st) I do not think that is a picture of a garden eel.

2nd) Eels are not inverts. They do not havve exo skeleton.... you could have post this is noobie or general reefkeeping or fowlr sub forums....

make full use of the catergorisation of the sub-forums.... you might get more replies if you posted in the right sub-forum too....
