I used Hanna Test Pen. Which brand of buffer to use?

Actually I want to find the root cause of this low PH.

I tested my fresh water or mixed salt water, both have PH of more than 8.3.

I tested the calcuim content and it show more than 420.

So what cause this low PH and will it has any impact on the fish and inverterbrate?

Basically, if I am not wrong, pH goes on a logarithmic scale which means that a point increase would mean a ten fold increase in reality

I remember Anthony Calfo mentioned, rather comically, that imagine you are enjoying yourself in a ###### beach and suddenly transported to the Antarctic, still ######.

Imagine how stressed your LS would be

Thanks bro madmac for correcting my mistake

I was either too engrossed in the ###### beach part :P or too stressed in my practical today

Thanks again

Hi Bros,

I had just read up the article regarding the low ph. Yes, this is a very useful article, thanks madmac.

I just wonder whether the low Ph was caused by the final product (which claim to be carbon dioxide and water) from AZ NO3 which I had just used for a week to lower the nitrate level?

Just wonder should I use the PH buffer (still do not know which brand to use) or limewater (kalkwasser) before or after the complete cycle of the AZ NO3.

Any advise?
