hahah no lah... just a wine drinker. Used to import for own consumption back when there were not many wine shops ard here. Now plenty of shops ard so just try n look out for gd bargains. Gd feeling especially when the ones u bgt goes up in value after a yr or 2.

Beaujolias Nouveau Time ;)

spoke to a bourgogne producer few days back, he said that this year's nouveau is quite interesting. but I don't think that it's available in Sin exactly on thur, maybe a few days after. Too bad I'm leaving Paris to Sin on thur morning, otherwise could bring some back for you'll to try.

Hmmm.... I think Cold Storage is quite punctual last year, maybe I go check it out this afternoon.

Went to a wine shop last evening and tried to coax the saleman to sell me few bottles of the nouveau which were already on display but he refused despite telling him that I'm leaving this morning.

Guess in Sin will be the same as well.

i think u are referring to the beaujolas nouveau... usually to be drunk young... by french law its to be released no earlier than the 3rd thursday of november.... this yrs release in france is due on 17th nov 2005. just rem that its to be taken young..... hope this yrs is yummy.... mark the date 17th nov 2005 if u r keen...

anyone know where can i get this wine..

wud be fantasitc to drink n chat abt reefing yeah... anyone here owns a win bar hahaha..... but seriously, beaujolas is not a fantastic wine ... so for those who hasnt tried it, dont get yr hopes too hi yah.... its a drinkable one thats all

Truely agree on what you said about the gamay grape. It is just plain simple fruity wine with high acidity which a lot of asians do not quite agree. Here's some discription; nuance of strawberry and a tinge of banana, crisp and a refreshing acidity. Don't expect much about it for a bottle of $2x wine.
