Corals not opening/extending fully

Hi people!

Need some help form the experts out there. I've got a piece of bubble and its not fully opened up yet. Bought it for 2 days already. Sometimes it open up 1/2 way and close again, especially if i dim the lights. Is it normal? And any tips about placing the bubble? Like on the sandbed, low flow or high flow area...etc. Thanks in advance....happy new year!!
