Do I remove the phos controller when my PO4 reads zero? Please also advise using FR whether better or not?

erm, when you mention controller, i take it as you mean the media like rowaphose? Im using my rowa in my cannister filter and seriously speaking, i'll be better off using a FR. A dedicated media reactor helps to make full use of your anti-phos media. As far as i know, you do not remove your phos controller even if your P04 is zero, leave it there and it'll help to maintain it at that level.

nope . do not remove the media when it can maintain at zero.

on the other hand , remove it when ur phosphate level is climbing slowly .

this show that the media is exhasted and time for a change.

having a FR is better without having one .
