Need your help again. What is the recommended distance from the water level to the T5 tube. I will not have any glass cover in the tank and I will use water proof end caps. I want to minimize salt accumulation in the tube but at the same time maximize the light intensity to the tank.

Is it ok to have no glass cover below the tube to protect it from water splash?
