lights.. they are somewhat attracted to lights.. Mine has somewhat a routine time. Wakes up around 10+am then goes to sleep at lights off.

So usually weekdays morning I will not see it. Only after work in the evenings. Unless I reach home after the tank lights off at 9.

yeah I set my auto timer to off at 9pm. I realised that once the light turn off it will just linger for a while then dive in the sand after.

Usually in the evenings, I will leave the tank lights on till late at night and the wrasse will also be still around.

BTW I see my wrasse everyday without fail. :P .. and dun bother to entice it with food.. if it wants to sleep, you can flood your tank with food and you will still not see it. ;)

Why do we use "My 2 cents worth" when 1 cents are not legal tender in Singapore anymore? Shouldn't it be 5 cents worth?

All wrasse are timid in general. They don't venture out often if you have fast swimming fish like Angels and tangs. Most pple whom bought wrasse have a more peaceful tank with anthias, gobies etc.

Sorry... for my late response...

My Leopard Wrasse comes out everyday... around noon time till 10pm (after dinner). Mine not shy at all... sometimes steal food from my Suns and Prata... so angry!!!

Em... perhaps you have an aggressive fish in your tank... so the wrasse feels intimidated and hide all the time. That is quite a logical explaination.

but seriously how timid are they? Mine don't seem to care about the surroundings. I have 2 tangs and 1 pretty big golden sleeper head goby that snatches food from fish's mouth. Still my leapard wrasse comes out everyday.
