Looking at ur lighting. Not intending sps huh?

Sps needs a serious investment. . such as getting another 3-4 tunze wavemakers, stronger lightings, calcium reactor etc etc etc. . . i am not ready for sps yet. . at least not a 6 footer sps.

Might keep some Monti caps and batam/bali sps which are easier to upkeep rather than those tonga sps that have lots of requirements. :)

hey ken, the YT are about the same size. They do fight ocassionally. . but no casualities. . .

I am thinking of using metal halide solely for the refugim. Any comments on this?

wat is the purpose for Mh to be used for refugium? If u are jus to cultivate some cheato or some algaes, PL is good enough. :huh: Unless u would like keep some frags of SPS for test test in ur refugium (testing of water perimter?), if not its wasting of electric and $$

i am not gonna use the 150 or 250 watt kind of MH, planning to go find those industrial type at sim lim square which are between 35 watt to 70 watt. . . can grow one whole tank of cheatos. . . every month u guys can come harvest foc. .

thats a kind gesture for the foc cheato. :lol: Well, if the bulb for the MH is cheaper than the PL lights, no harm getting it. Cheato grows well with great light, and some current too :P

The area is not tt big, i custom make a 2x1x2 ft refugim tank. hopefully can help to reduce some nitrate etc. . . already got brothers here sponsoring me cheatos. Will only hook up the refugim after my overseas trip. :)

no thanks. . . i got no time to keep buying longkang fish to feed them twice a week. . too much hassle. . . but the refugim can keep 1-2 fishes. . . i still havent thought about it yet. . -grin- :lol:

yup agreed that feeding is indeed hassle but guess wat, now i got two warties liao.... :fear: thought might not be keeping them at all but they are jus cuties, isn't it?
