Thanks Chinmo for the suggestions... yes I will go with a custom tank for sure... but the height musn't exceed 1.5" as I might not be able to "service" the tank well with my business attire... but 2ft length is quite a realistic footprint.

I might also run 2 tanks at the same time... one below... maybe having 2 different concepts... and alternate lighting to help balance pH a little :lol: So the 2 tanks will share same filtration system... what you guys think?

1.5 ft.... can still do..... but the horses may have some dificulty doing the egg transfer.... unless u are going bare bottom :)

Just collected the Deltec MCE600 Protein Skimmer from a kind reefer... will test this baby in my main tank first... I will see later if there is a need to transfer the MCE600 over to my new setup :)

They need more than 1.5ft height during egg transfer? Emm... they move up and down during the process? Wow... can't wait to witness it :lol: Maybe a thin layer of substrate... I can have a DSB Live Sand at the tank below.

:lol: they do not move up and down..... they slowly take off with their tails hook together..... than near mid water , they turn and face each other forming a "LOVE" shape... then the egg be transfered.... then breakoff.... ard 3/4 height of my 2.5ft high tank. :rolleyes:

Yes, normally in day time! they have a constant cycle, morin greetings... egg transfer in the noon... get preggy for 2mths? :huh: forgot liao..... this whole process repeats on time! if ur sh if well fed and care for! i always have fries here and there! :pinch: tired..... :lol:
