I just setup my tank, esterday, everything is ok, except the sump and piping will be done up tom.. so my water now doesnt flow into the IOS and to the sump. I would like to find out why is my water a bit yellow cloudy.. my live rocks are cure and from other reefer and i am using live sand and live sea water.

Are you using NSW or Sea Mix? Sea Mix, what brand? Do you have pump in the main tank to circulate the water?

If it's just only one day that your water is not circulating then it's not too late to do it now, else all live rocks and live sand will be dead soon.

What's your tank size?

It'll good if you can circulate the water abit but if you don't want to, it's ok. As for yellowish water, you need Active Carbon to remove them. Just let it be until you hookup your sump and main tank pipping tomorrow.

Go steady and slow bro... I saw you interested at a reefer's 4ft worth of corals... it's a steal but your tank is no where ready... even if you finish the ANN cycle, that huge amount of established corals (esp. the giant clam) will not survive. My advice, don't pursue... this kinda decom sales come by all the time :)

Do keep us updated with your progress :)

there will be some die off when u transfer the LR to yr tank even its from other reefer's tank.

and yes pls turn on the wave maker, anything stagnant is bad

yr skimmer will also help with the cloudy water.

it shd clear up soon when the particles settle down

get some filter wool to remove them also when yr sump is up

No water change... not now... let it cycle... they don't call it ANN (A for Ammonia) for nothing :D

Don't worry... as long as you don't itchy hand go and buy some Nemos... increase flow in your tank... you may even wanna throw in any extra powerhead just to stir things a little... and get ready for the stench :o

yes just increase flow... can run skimmer if u want to to soften the cycling... no need for any lights n just sit out the cycle... no livestks plse+ cos they probably wont survive anyway so no pt wasting $$ & lives... patience will be richly rewarded

DON'T!!! It's normal for worms to come out of the LR during the cycle... let them die or remove them (if you wish to)... don't change water or you will have to cycle all over again... I know it's horrible...

You may want to activate your skimmer (expect to clear collection cup within hours) and increase flow in the main tank (throw in whatever pump you can find)
