Astrea Snails

Hi,

I got some Astrea Snails. They were doing fine for the past few days. Recently, some don't seem to be 'alive'. They retract into their shells, to the extent which their bodies can't be seen. I'm sure it's not a healthy sign. I have a sand bed in my tank, I doubt it affects the snails. Any advice?

if you can't see their bodies anymore, chances are they are already dead... just toss the shells in the dustbin bro...

I've experienced this before, are you sure they don't come out at night?

why don't you take them out and give them a smell, if they smell like urine... their dead
