Upgrading from 3ft to 4&1/2ft tank

Finally got to upgrade my 3ft tank to a 4 and half ft unit...

Old Tank Specification

Sump : 2-1/2ft x 1-1/2ft x 1-1/2ft

Circulation pump : 2x Seio M620

Skimmer : H&S 150-2001

Return pump : Eheim 1262

Chiller : Resun CL650

Chiller pump : Sicce Extrema

Lighting : 1 x XM 150W Metal Halide Power by Osram PTU-150

4 x 39W T5 power by Orsam electronic ballast (2x 10000K and 2x

Actinc Plus)

Fluidised Reactors : with Rowa Phos

Refugium tank : 2ft x 1ft x 1ft with live rock and macro macroalgae

Seems like u might need a more powerful chiller and add an extra metal halide.

The Seio620 wun be powerful enuff, a tunze 6060 will be better.

Your equipment listing certainly looks very impressive!

But like what Reds mentioned, the lighting might not be the most well spread.. you might want to consider employing another 250w MH or some T5 as supplements?

This is my old 3ft tank at my parent's place...

My intention was to have coral at only one side of the fish tank and leaving the other side empty for the fish to swim...

This fish tank have been with me for 2 years plus... most of the coral have been in the tank for abt as long... this is a picture of the frogspawn that was one of my oldest coral...

This will be the location of the new fish tank... it used to be a study room... wall around it was all taken down, and a new wall will be build with the fish tank in it. the red line will be the new wall and the blue line is a hole for the tank.

All construction drawing was done by my wife and I, construction completed by my wife design firm...

This project is actually completed abt 6 months ago.. the tank is already up and running... I am posting this to give everyone a view of the consideration and work needed to construct such a project.

For me, I am lucky to married a designer/contractor as a wife... so with my interest and research we design and build this.

6000 left and right facing diagonally towards the front glass... 6060 at the back of the rockworks

those are just algae... but if it is the first chamber from the right then it is live rock...
