Brittle Stars

Spotted something like a star, abt 50cents coin big.

seems to be a brittle star to me.

Just wondering how it manage to get into my tank since i dun have any brittle star in the first place since restarted for this tank?

and will it pose any danger to livestocks or corals when the number starts to multiply?

Anyone can answer?

Thanks bro. yeah had did a search on this forum and liveaquaria before posing these questions. as those searches didn't exactly answer my questions.

bro they may have grown in your tank or it was on your LR when you got the LR.cheers not sure whether harmful or not hope other bros can help

Brittle Stars are harmless, in fact they does help alot in ur tank like eatting left over food and loosen of ur sand bed

u got free brittle stars? That's great.. just leave them on the sandbed and they'll help clean up the surface of your sand bed...

most likely they came from ur LR, just like mine. they are useful creatures. keep it

ya.when i bought my mushrooms there was one inside then now is out of the rock around my tank somewhere.cheers don worry about it not much of a problem to have it
