Test Kits: Which one to get first?

Hi all,

beginning my first tank, will most probably be mainly for LPS...

there are so many test kits like Ammonia, Nitrate, Iodine, Nitrite, KH, pH yada yada....

which are the must have test kits?

for a start for ur ANN cycle. get ammonia , nitrite, nitrate testkit .

after which phosphate is one of the most important testkit .

after ur water stablise , get kH ( alkalinity ) magnesium / calcium...

feel rich enough, get iodide/strotium/boron ...=)

must be super excited by your new tank ya !

oh yes, salifert/tropic marine is recommended

yea...dere are alot of brands around.....so far the most common n reliable is tropic marin n salifert....

make sure u store those testkits in a cool place..if not it will lose its accuracy...

get a good brand test kits, i bought a prodec ammonia test kit which is totally useless from beginning till now it always show 0.5 ;;

get AP brands, very cheap and good.

I always had both same testkit with 2 different brands.

AP is very good and very cheap.
