Anyone who uses coralife salt ever encounter yellowish salt water?

I'd just opened a new pail and noticed the water was yellowish after letting the mix stand for 2 days.Tested with sailfert no3 and po4 ,both were present. Now I dare not use the mix for water change.I'd used coralife before and never noticed such colour of water.

I use power head pump to circulate it.

Hmm. i use this salt.. but have never encountered yellowish water... even thou i use tap water and mix the salt with a pump.. the water clears up within an hour upon mixing..

Do u use tap water for mixing? then that may be the source of NO3 and PO4 which u positively tested.

Resized your pic :)

(anyway the water doesn't look yellow from my screen.. maybe its cos of my lousy LCD monitor  )

Did u use the tap water? once a while the tap water colour is rusty due to old pipes, town council just change new water pump or clean the tanks.

I have been using coralife as well, but never experience yellowish water after putting the salts.

Thank you for resizing photo.

I use DI water to mix and changed the resin recently.

Anyway the shop that I bought the salt from is willing to change mine with his new stock so will try to make up a new batch after that.

I'd been unable to reduce my nitrate level in the tank,I wonder if it is due to the salt. Next time I will check each batch :(
