SRC Supporter ReDDeviLs Posted November 10, 2003 SRC Supporter Share Posted November 10, 2003 hi i have a nitrite level of 0,1 and i was told that i shld do partial water change. the question is,can i use fresh tap water to do a salt mixture and poor it into my tank immediately,or shld i prepare a pail of water and than mix the salt into it the nxt day? SRC Member bawater Posted November 10, 2003 SRC Member Share Posted November 10, 2003 wait till u read 0.5 nitrite or less. then test nitrate. dilute the end nitrate(NO3) with a partial water change. 2L for a 5ft.......sounds more like water top off. should be 10%-15% of your total volume.
