brown algae problem

hi everyone i haf a problem wif the brown algae it grw on the sand n live rock... wat is the possible reason that cause this? and is there any solution for it?

flow rate, water source, PO4, low rate skimmer, old light, overfeeding,....

all the above cause brown algae.

I have the same problem as my tank is new. Its natural to occur for new tank during cycling period.

You can check out seachem products and reefmax from jir_h marine aquarium that can lower phosphate level and get rid of brown algae eventually.

Meanwhile, reduce your lighting hrs and change yr water. Brown algae outbreak is usually a result of too much nutrients in the water from food, nitrate, waste, etc...
