Running 2 Chillers

Hi like to ask would running 2 x 1/3hp chillers connected to the same external thermostat be as efficient (cooling and electric consumption) as running 1 bigger 3/4hp or 1 hp chiller?

current setup is 500l of water with 2x150mh and 2 fl actinic , total pumps wattage for 4 pumps arn 200w

like that u need 2 pump for chiller ? i am also thinking of that.haha..anyone using two chillers ?

read one guy's tank that he use two to backup in case mH timer spoilt.

currently i am using 1 inline chiller with pump 2000l/hr flowrate going to sump, and a drop in coil in my connected octopus tank which is constantly cooling at 22-23c, but its the main tank i am concern with now, coz the flowrate to my octopus tank is very hard to control as it runs tru 2 FR and a 36w UV , on 1 single chiller main tank temp is 27.3c to 28c but i notice the chiller keeps on kicking on and off, so this morning i attached my old chiller, to the sump, yet to see results yet, tonite back home then i can observe. but which 2 chillers kicking on , but theory wise it should require lesser time to cool down the tank, so if it can maintain same electric usuage as a 1hp chiller i am happy already, but if it doesnt work i probably have to look into a starmex ,

hahha...update the results here cos i am thinking of doing that too. or is it possible to run one pump thru two chillers ?

but i think two chillers compare to one, the electricity consumption will still be more for two.

it's the same as using two smaller wavemaker to achieve one larger wavemaker's activity. cos running two compressor will be more compare to one compressor.

i can only report on the cooling efficency, but not on the electric usuage , as i duno how to test for amps and calculate, and bills i usually just pay without looking, i dont even know how much electric my tank consume so far on 1 chiller

ok cooling sucks, cooling effeciency seems to be no difference from running 1 chiller at a time, i wonder y, issit because 1 of the chiller's hot air got circulated by the other chiller? or issit my 36w uv increasing heat, coz water flow into the uv is very slow possibly increase heat? just turn off my uv, will observe more
