Could it be using fresh de-chlorinated / saltwater Bro?

Yep the fan should be working hard now.

Bro, if the temperature you managed to maintained 28deg, like you said- can go for reef tank... :-)

I tried many methods like fan, freezing water bottles everynight and using it as topup water.... Yes it keeps the temperature down.. but its really a lot of work to do...

Generally, using ELECTRIC fan is a quick and easy way to lower water temp. Should not be laborious at all. Don't try to use a hand fan. The fishes will laugh too. ((:D

I have been using the ANS cooling fan for both my 3ft freshwater and 1.5ft saltwater. During Dec, managed to maintain temp between 27-28 degrees for both tank and the fans are set with ikea timer. Fan runs for 30 mins and rest 1hr, and so on. Seems to work really well but top up of water also quite alot. Never measure the amount I top up before.

Tank: 3.5ft x 2ft x 1.5ft, 12mm

Sump: 3ft

Skimmer: Bubble Magus Curve 7

Lightings: Maxspect 15000k

Return Pump: Eheim 1252

Wavemaker: Jebao WP25, Jebao RW-8
