Possible to use this tank for Marine?

Recommended Posts

Hi all, am interested in getting this Tetra Tank set from someone & use it as a Marine Tank instead [Yes... admit that I'm getting deeply 'poisoned' by marine tanks...], however, don't know if it is suitable. As stated, it's thickness is around 4mm (is it possible to handle saltwater?) only... More details of the tank set can be found in the link below:

Besides the issue of the thickness of the glass, my other concerns will be:

1) Am I able to change current light to those suitable for marine tanks (i.e. white & actnic blue & LEDs if possible)?

2) Am I able to house a skimmer in the future without removing the tank cover?

All answers will be greatly appreciated!!1

Hi gfishy, thanks alot for your speedy replies (in the other thread about the 2 feet cube tank also...)...

Sigh!! Love the RSM's one also but cost is a factor stopping me leh, hence looking to get used ones but still in useable conditions... Any idea how much will the smaller one (Redsea Max) cost? How about those by JBJ, Jebao etc...

Many thanks!

Get a nano type tank if you are new.

If you want something nice try a Redsea Max. There is 2 sizes. Get the smaller one!
