hi there

i'm using Quietone High head 4000 pump for my 5' x 2'(H) x 18" (w) return. but i find it too strong for the flow ,especially at the end of the tank, can hardy place any coral there.

can i place a ball valve to control the flow?

will it damage my pump or easier to cause leakage?

alan :thanks:

Hi, It will cause some level of damages to the pump. Maybe I can suggest that you can split your return pipes to 2, at different directions?

i agree with david. u should t-off rather than reduce the flow which can damage the pump
