The JETSTREAM calcium reactors are new types of calcium reactors which uses a gas/water separator and offers optimum management of carbon dioxide. Every bubble is used and any CO2 remaining is dissolved. The water inside the reactor is circulated by a centrifugal pump and the water being saturated with carbon dioxide creates an acidic medium in which the coral sand is dissolved as calcium hydrogen carbonate.

Would like to find out whats the reason for using the white tape near the pump?

it is not white tape. It silicon. The pump is working. the problem is after a year of using, the holder of the pump crack, so there is water leak. I buy new JetStream pump $50+, but found that the new model and old model is slightly different. Althought can fix to the CR but, still leak. So no choice, have to use silicon.
