eChan
Hi Snrs, I'm interested to setup a SH tank and have a few qns to consult. - Intended Tank Size 60X60X45CM (162l) w/o sump/overflow - Intend to use a Tuneze Nano Reefpack 200 or Rea Sea Prizm - currently got a Eheim 2213 Cannister Pump, intend to put in LR (read in the other thread) to supplement the skimmer, is it advisable? And also intend to put in LR and live sand in the tank. May i know will the above be a sustainable system to keep SH? I'm new to marine, btw. Thanks
SRC Member jyoon Posted March 29, 2009 SRC Member Share Posted March 29, 2009 Keeping SH is challenging not impossible. However been new to this hobby, I would not advice starting with SH. Just my 2 cents. You might have already read alot on this hobby. However it never will be enough before trying.

Achilles Tang
Seahorses are a lot more demanding than you think. They eat non-stop and need the right kind of foods... ie. live shrimps. Unless they are trained or YOU train them yourself intensively until they do. Water quality has to be good too.

If for FOWLR, is such a setup suitable for a begginer? Would like to hear some advice on my tank size and equipments
benkam88
Hi Bro, you may wish to visit http://www.seahorse.com/ for more info on sea horse. A simple setup is the best for SH tank. As for the food - only live shrimp is the best. SH can only live without food for 7days.
